AsiaTEF VISUAL ARTS COMPETITIONS
Competition Overview
The AsiaTEF Visual Arts Competition is designed to encourage creativity, artistic expression, imagination, and cultural appreciation among young artists across Asia and beyond. Participants will create original artworks based on assigned themes according to their age category.
The competition emphasizes:

Competition Categories
Junior Categories
Junior 1: Junior 1 (Age 8 and below)
Junior 2: Age: 9 – 12 years old
Youth Categories
Youth 1: Age: 13 – 15 years old
Youth 2: Age: 16 – 18 years old
Medium & Materials
Participants may use:

✏︎ Crayons
✏︎ Poster colours
✏︎ Watercolour
✏︎ Oil pastel
✏︎ Soft pastel
✏︎ Markers
Not allowed:
✏︎ Digital devices
✏︎ Printed materials
✏︎ AI-generated artworks
✏︎ Pre-drawn sketches
✏︎ Tracing materials
Participants are responsible for bringing their own drawing materials unless otherwise stated by the organizer.
Judging Criteria
Criteria Description
Creativity & Originality: Unique artistic ideas and imagination
Theme Interpretation, Understanding and Presentation of the assigned theme
Technique & Skill: Drawing ability, colouring, control, and artistic techniques
Composition & Presentation Balance, layout, visual organization, and neatness
Overall Artistic Impact, Emotional expression, and overall impression

Award Level Score Range
Elite Gold 90 – 100
Gold 80 – 89
Silver 70 – 79
Bronze 60 – 69
Certificate Level 1 – 59
All participants will receive:
✏︎ Certificate & Trophy
✏︎ Award recognition according to score achieved
Finalist Presentation Round
The Top 3 highest-scoring participants from each age category will be selected for the Final Presentation Round.
Final Presentation Requirements
Each finalist must:
✏︎ Present artwork on stage
✏︎ Explain artistic concept and inspiration
✏︎ Describe the interpretation of the assigned theme
✏︎ Complete presentation within 3 minutes
Language
✏︎ Main language: English
✏︎ Other languages are permitted
✏︎ Participants using another language must provide their own translator capable of translating into English
Final Championship Awards
For each age category:
🥇 AsiaTEF Art Elite Champion
🥈 AsiaTEF Art Grand Award – First Runner-Up
🥉 AsiaTEF Art Excellence Award – Second Runner-Up
Competition Rules & Regulations
General Rules
1. All artworks must be original creations by the participant.
2. Participants must complete the artwork within the allocated competition time.
3. Only the official competition paper provided by the organizer may be used.
4. Participants must not copy from reference books, printed materials, or electronic devices during the competition.
5. Any form of plagiarism or copyright infringement will result in immediate disqualification.
6. Participants must write their participant number only at the designated area on the artwork.
7. Names or school identities must not appear on the front of the artwork.
8. Late submissions may not be accepted.
Materials & Assistance
1. Participants must bring their own art materials unless otherwise announced.
2. Parents, teachers, or guardians are not allowed to assist participants during the competition.
3. Sharing of materials among participants during the competition is prohibited unless approved by the organizer.
Conduct & Discipline
1. Participants must follow instructions given by competition officials at all times.
2. Disruptive behaviour may result in a warning or disqualification.
3. Participants are expected to maintain cleanliness and proper conduct throughout the event.
Judging & Results
1. All judging decisions are final and non-negotiable.
2. Judges reserve the right not to award certain rankings if standards are not achieved.
3. The organizer reserves the right to photograph and use submitted artworks for promotional and educational purposes.

AsiaTEF reserves the right to:

✏︎ Adjust competition schedules
✏︎ Use photographs and artwork images for promotional materials
✏︎ Combine or divide categories depending on participant numbers if required
JUNIOR 1
